Cordtape Environmental Services Ltd carry out a whole range of survey types in accordance with HSE Guidance note MDHS 100 and provide information regarding the location and condition of the suspect materials.
Type 1:
Location and assessment (or presumptive) survey. No sampling of suspect ACMs is carried out as materials are merely presumed to contain asbestos.
Type 2:
Standard sampling, identification assessment (or sampling) survey. This is the most common survey type; representative samples of suspect ACMs are taken to establish asbestos content. An assessment of the materials is carried out and appropriate actions are recommended.
Type 3: Full access sampling and identification (pre-demolition/major refurbishment) surveys. These surveys include a significant intrusive element, to gain access to concealed areas, and those difficult to reach. This type of survey is generally carried out in unoccupied premises/buildings prior to major refurbishment or demolition. The assessment of each material is simplified, as the report is often used as a guide for tendering the removal of all ACMs prior to refurbishment or demolition works.
We offer a sampling service to identify asbestos based materials from many varied areas, from domestic properties, through to office premises, and refurbishment project. Analysis reports are usually returned within 48 hours.
